Sunrise Alms Offering to Monks. Our island is rich with Buddhists and it is a timeworn tradition for locals to offer alms, called ‘tak bat’ in Thai, to the saffron-robed devotees at dawn. Emotional as well as fascinating, we gather to give tak bat on the beach at sunrise every day. Join this complimentary activity to learn more about life in the Thai islands and deepen your connection to the destination. The offerings are provided by the resort. Stroll Along Choeng Mon Beach. Best way to experience Choeng Mon Beach is with a late afternoon walk along its shore. The sand comes to life at dusk, with vendors selling delicious snacks and street food, locally made souvenirs and more. Soak up the atmosphere and feel like an islander before you head back to the resort by dinner time.
